Mallet Holders/Handles

For each mallet holders, we used one 1x2 and one 2x2. The 1x2 was mounted snugly against the side support piece (2x4), and the 2x2 was mounted such that there was a 1" gap between the 1x2 and the 2x2. This allows mallets of various sizes to fit into the mallet holders. The bottoms of the 1x2 and 2x2 were flush with the bottom of the frame. The mallets hang very conveniently from these bars, and they also function as handles when rolling the marimba from place to place.
